Design project and with what we eat it.

What do we mean when we say "design project" and how it's going on?
Majority of people, who buy apartments or house, or just planning office work space or business project, think about design project on the beginning.
Well, how it's starting. Often people come to me with a very abstract idea in they heads. In other words, not a lot of us know how will looks some interior in future. Of course we know than that sofa looks great and we like red color for walls. But when you see and exactly understand how it will be in real, appearance could changes with finger's flick. And now imagine if you went to the shop and bought that great sofa and red paint, and see results or your imagination later, but in real. Hmmm, is it what you want? I guess at least you would be surprised :)
I'm doing 3D visualization to help you exclude such surprise situation. If you have never before used 3D visualizer service, you will be surprise how real and understandable could look your future interior on picture. Let's notice that 3D visualization can save your money, time and nervous.
How it works. Usually, before i start to work I listen customer's thoughts and ideas, make sketches, make analysis together with clients, make corrections, make test renders, look and analysis again, then make final renders, if we need then make last corrections and last big renders at the end.
Ok, now we know and see how will look future interior, but what you have to do the next? Obviously that it's not enough for start. You also need to have M&E (electrical, mechanical, plumbing & telecommunication) plans, which you have to give to builders who make repair. So, now you've get 3D pictures and M&E plans and you can start to create your new interior. To understand all this process better i suggest you look one example.
A few months ago I  got call from one client. He lives in a big house with his parents. And one floor ot that house is a big free space for him and his partner. So he started to make repair in it, made floor, walls and stack. Usually story with people, you always think that it's very simple to create comfortable live space by yourself only. He told me what he wants: bed, big TV and sofa. He was sure that nothing could be good for him, a bit pessimistic position. So i had to separate somehow live space for functional zones. I took pictures of his room and started to draw.

First what I did it’s walls plan and plan with furniture in the room.
The main rule in such project is to separate relax zone where you sleep. You haven’t  to see bed when you just get in a room. So need to put some wall anyway. But i didn't want to cut space for small rooms. That's why I  decided to put not high wall and play with it. By one side of that wall i put a big bed and a small work space where he can sit with laptop. In that room he already had a few niches, which I had to use for something. So one of them I used for working zone. The other one for TV.  So he can lie on the bed and watch TV as well. By other side of the wall i made relax zone, like living room. There also were a big niche which  I used for not standard cupboard. I draw plan of it as well.

If you sit and relax on a huge sofa would be great to watch a big TV. He can watch TV not only when lie on the bed, but also when sit on sofa. But the size of TV is not big for so big room. It's ok for watching news, but not for videos. So i decided put there video projector and screen for it also add zoning for the room. Also I put bio fireplace and sound system which took they place on the separating wall. Well, he got sleep zone, relax zone with a big screen, big cupboard, work zone. The last question was with celling design. I decided to use classic method for that type of celling, wood beams. It's add very modern  style and also very useful space for light. So, I draw 3D pictures and main plan with furniture and zones. Show it to my client. He was so impressed of that idea, that even didn't want to change something. He approved 3D pictures and i started to do M&E plans. I also found all stores where he could buy furniture and technics for his room. So at the end my client got all design project and all instruction what to do step by step. All project took about 2 weeks.

Well, now you can see that design project and work with interior and 3D designer can be very useful and interesting. I would like to work and with you as well. You can find all my contacts on my web-site www.london3ddesign.com.
